64-Year-Old NFL Legend Steve Young Drops Shocking Comeback Bombshell after Philip Rivers Pulled It Off
This article was originally published on Total Pro Sports.

Steve Young is 64 years old, yet he seems to think he can still play NFL football.
Okay, so he reckons he has one snap left in him, but it’s still ludicrous.
Philip Rivers’ sensational return seems to have turned many aged heads. Tom Brady has since teased a comeback and is already being linked with multiple teams.
Andrew Luck has shared his thoughts on a possible return, and Cam Newton is upset.
Newton is obviously the most able-bodied of the aforementioned and hasn’t technically retired. So his frustrations could be forgiven.
Steve Young Thinks He Can Still Throw A Slant In A Competitive Game

Young, unlike his name suggests, is way past his playing days. He’s also way past the playing days behind the playing days, in the case of Rivers.
The returning QB has looked great since coming to fill in for the Indianapolis Colts in the wake of Daniel Jones’ injury.
He impressed in a primetime fixture against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night, completing 23 of 35 passing attempts for 277 yards and two touchdowns. And he can’t quite be blamed for the interception he threw during what was a clutch situation.

Rivers even accomplished something he failed to do during his Hall of Fame career. He threw a touchdown on a free play.
Young, a Hall of Famer himself, thinks he could pull off a comeback too.
“I absolutely feel confident that I could take the snap, run the screen game, throw the ball in the flat, maybe throw a slant,” he told the San Francisco Chronicle while discussing Rivers’ return.

“It’s not like, ‘Put on the pads and go play.’ Still, if it was ‘Hunger Games’? If they said, you had to do this or die? Yeah, you could pull off something,” he added.
Well, we could probably give him that. Hunger Games/Maze Runner situation, Steve Young could probably complete a pass. Of course, he’s definitely not getting up if his offensive line allows him to get sacked.
