AJ Brown is lucky that the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Detroit Lions, because his behavior on the field would be called out even worse than it is right now.

After a week filled with controversial comments about the offense from Eagles wideout, he would go out on Sunday night and record less than 50 yards receiving for the sixth time during the 2025 season.

It appears he could’ve had way more than that if he had simply given his all during one play in the game.

Late in the game, Hurts tried hitting Brown on a deep shot. But the ball was overthrown, although it might have appeared that Brown stopped running.

Overhead video of that moment shows AJ Brown doing just that as he jogged for a few seconds before realizing the ball was coming his way. Had he continued running hard, he might have caught that pass with ease.

When asked what happened on that play, Brown replied: “Constant hand-fighting down the field. Just missed. Not saying he (Hurts) missed, but we missed. I couldn’t get to it.”

AJ Brown Might Find His Way Off The Eagles During The Offseason

There aren’t very many wide receivers in the NFL you can say are better than Philadelphia Eagles superstar AJ Brown. With immense talent comes diva-like actions.

Brown has spent the majority of the 2025 regular season complaining about his role in the offense as the Eagles try to win a second consecutive Super Bowl. They are winning, and yet he is unhappy.

His latest complaint came via a Twitch livestream on the Tuesday following Philadelphia’s 10-7 win over the Green Bay Packers, in which Brown called the season a “s–t show” after just two receptions for 13 yards.

At its worst, there were trade rumors that the team might send Brown packing to another squad. The trade deadline came and went without a deal.

The Eagles could very well win another Super Bowl, and Brown still might be happier being off the team.

His wish might come in the offseason if things do not improve.
