It’s looking more likely that AJ Brown won’t be playing another snap for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Brown trade talks have dominated the NFL news cycle this offseason. He was an integral part of two Super Bowl trips and the team’s Super Bowl LIX title. He’s had 339 catches for 5,034 yards and 32 touchdowns in four seasons in Philly.

The team would love to keep him, but it doesn’t appear that he wants to stay. Brown reportedly requested a trade on multiple occasions this past season. This past season, he voiced his frustration with the offense, calling it a “s***show” in November.

AJ Brown had only 1,007 receiving yards in 2025, his lowest total since he was with the Titans in 2021. It appears he knows which teams will ensure that never happens again.

NFL Insider Albert Breer reports that Brown has given Philly a list of teams he would like to be traded to. That list included the Patriots, Chiefs, Chargers, and Bills. Those quarterbacks are Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Drake Maye, and Justin Herbert.

Philadelphia has no problem trading AJ Brown, but it won’t come cheap. The team is not actively looking to dump Brown, but should they cross that road, they want a massive return.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that it would take a “Quinnen Williams-type” deal to pry Brown away from Philadelphia. The New York Jets traded DT Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys for a 2026 second-round pick, a 2027 first-round pick, and a player (DT Mazi Smith).

If the Eagles trade Brown before June 1, the Eagles will have to manage a $43.4 million dead money cap hit.

For now, Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is making it clear, “A.J. Brown is a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.”
