NFL fans are pissed off at the league following its Week 18 disclosure.

It feels like the 2025 regular season just got started, but we’re already one game away from the playoffs. While multiple teams have been eliminated from contention, there’s still a lot that needs to be settled.

The NFC’s top seed, for example, is yet to be confirmed.

You’d probably expect the decider to get the primetime treatment, but that’s not the case, as it turns out. The Seattle Seahawks will be playing the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the AFC North championship featuring the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers is set for ‘SNF’, leaving Cris Collinsworth with another opportunity to compare a quarterback to Patrick Mahomes

Sure, the game is an attractive one. The winner takes the division, while the other team gets sent home, but the conference decider is a bigger game, at least in the eyes of fans.

Week 18 Schedule Leaves Top NFC Seeds Holding The Shorter End

The NFL typically flexes its schedule in the final week of the season to put the game with the most playoff significance on a larger stage. And after Sunday’s incredible 49ers vs. Chicago Bears tilt, fans were hoping to see the former back on primetime in Week 18.

The decision leaves the Seahawks and Niners with short weeks, as they both played on Sunday—the Ravens luck out with a longer week.

Fans also reckon they’ve been fortunate as Zay Flowers has escaped punishment following an altercation with a fan.

“They really put Seahawks/49ers on Saturday and put those garbage Steelers and Ravens teams on SNF🤣,” someone tweeted.

“The NFL is doing its fans a disservice putting 49ers vs Seahawks on Saturday night football,” another declared.

“The #NFL screws the #49ers again with scheduling.  Making them play a 2nd short week in a row. No way should they be playing the Saturday game and give two pathetic teams the Sunday prime game,” said a third.

“Why the absolute f**k are they putting Niners vs Hawks on Saturday night. This game would be the last game of the regular season,” one fan shared.

“Niners Seahawks not being Sunday night is retarded,” someone else wrote.

In any case, it’s going to be an exciting weekend of NFL football.
