Atlanta Falcons Release Major Injury Update On Superstar WR Drake London

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London is out this week and potentially longer following an injury against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
The Falcons suffered a 30-27 defeat in Week 11 but will also rue the losses of two key players, with quarterback Michael Penix Jr. also injured and facing a premature end to the season after hurting his knee.
London also sustained a knee injury late in the game. ESPN insider Adam Schefter said it was “not thought to be overly serious, and he is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury and how much time he will miss, if any.”
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has since reported that the player is dealing with a PCL injury and should miss the upcoming Week 12 fixture against the New Orleans Saints, but could also be out longer.
“Falcons WR Drake London suffered a PCL sprain and is out this week and potentially more,” Rapoport tweeted on Monday.

Drake London’s Injury A Massive Blow For Atlanta

London had an impressive outing against Carolina on Sunday, catching seven of his nine targets for a haul of 119 receiving yards. Should he remain sidelined for an extended period, it would come as a considerable blow to Atlanta.
The 24-year-old leads the team in all receiving categories, having made 60 receptions for 810 yards and six touchdowns so far this season.
He has been the only consistent receiving option in the team’s offense and ranks the third-highest among all NFL players who have been seen 75 or more passes thrown their way this season in terms of target share (31.6 percent).
