The Atlanta Falcons really did not think this through.

Their latest social media update has sparked an unexpected reaction among fans after the team changed its profile picture. The Falcons announced the change in a short post on X, writing simply: “New PFP 👀”.

The reaction they thought they would get is not what they actually received. Instead of giving them credit, they received unwanted comparisons to one of the worst human beings ever to walk the Earth.

There are bad ideas, and there is what the Falcons did this week. They have come under fire after changing their profile picture on social media.

The team changed its logo to a stylized black falcon shaped like an “F,” centered over bold vertical stripes, some of which are red.

Almost immediately, many fans started to liken it to 1930s and 1940s German iconography used in the Second World War.

“Falcons look like they’re about to invade Poland,” one person said.

“Fixed it for you 😁,” another fan said.

“I don’t have money for a jersey, can you start selling these festive armbands instead?” a third fan added.

“How yall bout to pull up to the next game,” a fourth fan commented.

The new logo comes days after Falcons linebacker Kendal Daniels was stretchered off the field after suffering a scary injury. The Atlanta Falcons fell to 2-4 after losing 31-23 to the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Things won’t get any easier as they will now face the undefeated San Francisco 49ers in Week 7. The team is looking at a real possibility of having yet another lost season.
