Super Bowl 60 will be played on Feb. 8 and will pit the New England Patriots vs. the Seattle Seahawks. It will be a rematch of the 2014 Super Bowl.

In the end, it turns out that the matchup was right in front of our eyes the entire time. Back in September, the @NFL X/Twitter account posted a graphic of players from all teams. The Seahawks and Patriots just happened to be in front of it.

So, how did we get here? The Patriots won 10-7 in a snowy blizzard in Mile High City. Seattle took down the Rams inside Lumen Field later that day. The event, which will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, for the second time, is the most-watched event in the United States every year.

Now the only thing fans need to know is who will be calling the big game. Unlike in past years, it won’t be broadcast on Fox. Super Bowl 60 will be broadcast nationally on NBC.

The Super Bowl 60 broadcasting team is already set:

  • Mike Tirico (play-by-play)
  • Cris Collinsworth (color commentary)
  • Melissa Stark (sideline)
  • Kaylee Hartung (sideline)

Here is how social media reacted:

“Worst announcer and worst halftime show. The NFL really puts on a show,” one fan said.

“How many times he mention Mahomes. + or – 3,” a second fan said of Collinsworth.

“Will he say “Mahomes” at least once in the Super Bowl?” a third fan asked.

“The worst news of the day. Thanks, Adam,” one final fan stated.

Last year, a whopping 127.7 million viewers watched the Philadelphia Eagles’ 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. That made it the most-watched Super Bowl ever.
