Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show performance is the subject of an investigation, according to reports.

The 31-year-old Puerto Rican artist surpassed previous viewership numbers to draw a record 135.4 million viewers. But with all the eyes came plenty of scrutiny.

There have since been calls for punishment to be dished out. And Missouri Republican Mark Alford has told Fox News that the performance is under investigation.

Alford admitted he does not understand Spanish, but a lot of information has come out, suggesting that Bad Bunny used profanities during the break.

“On Bad Bunny — bad performance at the Super Bowl at halftime — we’re still investigating this. There’s a lot of information that has come out about the lyrics,” Alford said (H/T Awful Announcing).“I saw the halftime show. I was switching back and forth with the TPUSA halftime show. The lyrics, from what we’ve seen from Bad Bunny, are very disturbing.”

Alford said there would be plenty of questions asked of the broadcaster, which in this case would be NBC, should it turn out that Bad Bunny did, in fact, use obscenities on stage.

“I don’t speak fluent Spanish, I know how to ask where the bathroom is. But these lyrics — if it’s true, what was said on national television — we have a lot of questions for the entities that broadcast this, and we’ll be talking to Brendan Carr from the FCC about this,” he continued.

FCC Reportedly Comes To A Decision On Bad Bunny’s Performance

Meanwhile, Republican Congressman Randy Fine is also hoping for consequences.

Fine pointed out that one cannot under any circumstances say the F-word on live television and that the Puerto Rican would have been hit with massive fines had he sung his lyrics in English.

He described the performance as “illegal” and called on the FCC to look into it.

According to the New York Post, the FCC has already made a decision

The agency is said to have determined that no infractions were made during the broadcast.

So this might already be over.
