Netflix’s new season of ‘Quarterback’ is giving fans a closer look at what Baker Mayfield battled throughout the 2025 NFL season.
One post that quickly went viral shows the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback lifting his right arm to reveal extensive bruising stretching across his throwing arm and biceps.
Another image shows Mayfield relaxing at home with visible discoloration still covering much of his arm.

Netflix Series Reveals The Extent Of Baker Mayfield’s Injuries
Mayfield’s future was thought to be in the air once the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were eliminated from playoff contention. His relationship with the team is said to have taken an ugly turn as recently as last month.
But the bruising shown above was hardly the only issue Mayfield dealt with last season.
The veteran revealed in ‘Quarterback‘ that he suffered sprained MCL and PCL ligaments in his knee during Week 2. He also played through a severe biceps contusion that affected the velocity on his throws before later injuring his non-throwing shoulder during the season. Despite the lengthy injury list, he didn’t miss any games.
Mayfield’s willingness to remain on the field earned praise from teammates, even as the injuries piled up. Tampa Bay opened the year 6-2 before struggling down the stretch as his health continued to decline.
The former No. 1 overall pick has built a reputation as one of the NFL’s toughest quarterbacks. After reviving his career in Tampa Bay, he has become the unquestioned leader of the Buccaneers’ offense.
The new Netflix series gives fans an unfiltered look at that toughness. And it’s now clear that Mayfield wasn’t making excuses.
