NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has weighed in on the Baltimore Ravens’ plans as the trade deadline nears.

Baltimore holds a 4-5 record after a 33-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night. They’ve scored under 14 points for four straight games, an unwanted team record.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson’s injury against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday has resulted in his placement on injured reserve. The team has given no timetable for his return.

Rumors of a potential trade have surfaced due to Jackson’s lack of availability this season. But the Ravens aren’t expected to part ways with their franchise QB just yet.

Rapoport said on Friday’s Good Morning Football that he does not see Baltimore selling. “I don’t see the Ravens in sell mode,” he said. He added, “I don’t think they’re in buy mode either.”

The insider does not expect a trade, though he acknowledged that anything is possible.

Running back Derrick Henry also shot down trade speculation after Thursday’s loss.

“I have not mentioned me going anywhere else,” Henry said.

With Baltimore unlikely to get more deals done ahead of the deadline, Henry is also expected to stay.

Brissett Deal Gives Baltimore A Veteran Starter Before Tuesday’s Deadline

ESPN reports that the Arizona Cardinals are finalizing a trade sending Jacoby Brissett to Baltimore. The deal is expected to be completed this weekend. Brissett asked for a trade after Arizona benched him for Gardner Minshew II.

Baltimore’s deadline trade for a veteran quarterback follows a turf toe injury that ended Tyler Huntley’s season and Jackson’s thumb injury. Rookie Joe Fagnano started Thursday, and Kedon Slovis and Austin Reed arrived this week as backups. Rapoport expects Brissett to start when the Ravens return Monday.

He also sees the deal as one that will allow the Ravens to complete the season without making massive moves.
