Bills Receives Crucial News About The Status Of DJ Moore After Brutal Injury vs Lions

While the Buffalo Bills masterfully dispatched the Detroit Lions on Thursday, their star wide receiver, DJ Moore, suffered a nasty-looking injury. 

At the Bills’ endzone, Moore attempted to catch a low pass from Allen. But he missed the pass. To make things worse, Lions cornerback Rock Ya-Sin fell on Moore’s upper body, specifically in his neck and shoulder area.

Moore was down for a while, but he eventually stood up and walked off the field without assistance.

Bills Get New Update About DJ Moore

After the incident, the Bills conducted an X-ray on Moore. The team was hoping that the injury wasn’t too serious. However, by looking at the replay, there’s a possibility that the result of Moore’s medical examination could have gone either way.

Now, an update has been given by ESPN’s Adam Schefter about DJ Moore’s status ahead of Week 3.

“Bills WR DJ Moore suffered a shoulder injury Thursday night that doctors do not consider serious and will leave him day to day, per source. ‘He has a chance to play next week (vs. the Chargers), but it’s not a lock, either,’ said the source.”

That’s good news for the Buffalo Bills. They truly need Moore healthy for the rest of this season. He was already dealing with an injured ankle in their season opener against the Carolina Panthers.

Despite missing DJ Moore for the rest of the night, the Buffalo Bills have shown why they are one of the Super Bowl favorites in 2026.

James Cook rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Dalton Kincaid played well, too. He hauled in seven passes for 95 yards and a touchdown. Their offense looked extremely efficient against the Lions.

And who can forget Josh Allen’s MVP-like performance on Thursday night? He had 248 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, 69 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns. Yes, he had a total of five touchdowns in Buffalo’s victory over Detroit.
