Internet sleuths think they’ve spotted evidence that the Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns are working on a blockbuster trade ahead of the NFL Draft.

The Eagles and Browns have one thing in common at this phase of the 2026 NFL offseason: They each have a superstar player who has dominated the trade rumor mill. In the Eagles’ case, star wide receiver A.J. Brown.

For Cleveland, it’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett. Last week, Garrett restructured his contract that makes a trade a lot more manageable for Cleveland and an interested suitor.

ESPN Cleveland’s Tony Grossi shared a photo of Browns GM Andrew Berry talking to Philadelphia Eagles GM Howie Roseman at the NFL owners meetings. Naturally, that has fueled speculation that the two teams are discussing a trade:

“Myles Garrett come homeeeeee,” wrote a fan.

“Nothing to see here?,” Grossi added.

Berry was the Eagles’ vice president of football operations in 2019, working with Roseman, before he was hired by Cleveland as its GM in 2020. So, make of this interaction between Berry and Roseman as you will.

The Philadelphia Eagles Would Be The Ideal Landing Spot For Myles Garrett

The Eagles lost franchise legend Brandon Graham to retirement for a second time. Star edge rusher Jaelan Phillips (Carolina Panthers) and linebacker Nakobe Dean (Las Vegas Raiders) both left in free agency.

This came a year after they lost key contributors to the Super Bowl 59 championship season, Josh Sweat and Milton Williams, in free agency. Indeed, the Eagles desperately need more help in the front seven.

Garrett, he of 125.5 career sacks, would be the perfect solution in Philadelphia. And the future Hall of Famer would surely be motivated to play for a perennial Super Bowl contender with a well-respected GM and front office.
