Brian Daboll was fired as the New York Giants’ head coach in November 2025. The team started the season 2-8, and the front office had simply had enough.

Despite rumors that he could possibly replace Sean McDermott in Buffalo, it seems he is headed for another AFC team. Dianna Russini reported that the Titans and Philadelphia Eagles were pushing hard to hire Daboll as their OC.

It seems that he has made his decision. Russini later reported that Daboll is expected to be the Titans’ new offensive coordinator. However, she noted that it is only if he cannot secure the Buffalo Bills’ head coaching job.

Russini says Daboll ideally wants to land in Buffalo as head coach to reunite with QB Josh Allen. The Eagles had their interview with Daboll on Tuesday. He is set to interview with the Bills for their HC vacancy in the next few days.

Brian Daboll Deserves A Second Chance

Daboll’s four-year tenure with the Giants began with great promise. The team started 7-2 and later won its first playoff game since Super Bowl 46, which earned him top honors among his peers. It went all downhill from there. He recorded an 11-33 record since the start of 2023 and a 5-22 record since the start of 2024. Daboll’s overall record now stands at 20-40-1.

With him never having a true quarterback in place, it was always going to be an uphill battle. 2025 was also marked by injuries to the likes of wide receiver Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo. Another year could’ve changed things around, but the Giants wanted to move on. They have since hired John Harbaugh as their new coach.

Brian Daboll will get his second chance, it’s just a matter of where he ends up.
