Say what you want to about her, but make sure you refer to Brittany Mahomes as a Hall of Famer.

Mahomes was inducted into the University of Texas at Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame over the weekend. This was due to her standout collegiate soccer career. She was part of the 2026 class honored for her record-setting career. Her biggest season was in 2016 when she racked up 18 goals and 40 points.

During her speech, she expressed gratitude to her coach, Stefani Webb, and her excitement to continue supporting women’s sports. Her husband, NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes, attended the ceremony to celebrate her achievement.

After the ceremony, she took to Instagram to celebrate, posting photos with family, friends, and Patrick himself, calling the honor “truly” meaningful and crediting her former coach for shaping her career. Patrick dropped a simple but telling message in the comments: “Congrats!!!! Love you!”

From 2013 to 2016, Brittany Mahomes became the second all-time in points (78) and goals (31).

Brittany is a certified personal trainer and fitness entrepreneur. She is a former collegiate soccer player who wants women’s sports to thrive.

Mahomes is a co-founder and co-owner of the Kansas City Current in the National Women’s Soccer League. She helped bring the team to KC in December 2020. She is deeply involved in the team’s development, including the CPKC Stadium project. That is the world’s first stadium built specifically for a women’s professional soccer team. According to the team’s website, Patrick Mahomes joined his wife in the ownership group in 2023.

Ever since then, the couple has been actively supporting the team and helping it grow. They also generated the most revenue in 2024 with $36 million. Making things even better for her and him, Forbes projects that the “price tags” of NWSL franchises “will keep rising” as the league continues to grow in popularity.

The Current earned the 2025 NWSL Shield, which is given to the team with the most points in the regular season. Brittany Mahomes and Patrick have been seen attending multiple Current games in the past.
