Brittany Mahomes watched Sunday Night Football from the suite and did not pretend it was calm. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Indianapolis Colts 33-30 in overtime at Arrowhead. Kansas City is 2-0 after beating the Denver Broncos in the season opener. Patrick Mahomes threw for 382 yards and three scores in his second start back from last December’s torn ACL and LCL.
Taylor Swift was in the building, too, drawing a lot of attention after Travis Kelce’s touchdown moment.

Mahomes posted two Instagram Stories after the final kick. One was five words over stadium video. The other was an apology to a friend and Divi partner, Dani Austin Ramirez.
“That was a game wow,” she wrote over a clip of Arrowhead emptying its lungs. That was the clean version.
The next Story went to Austin.
“Sorry you had to hear me scream and say a lot of bad words for several hours.”
People reported the pair sat together in the suite.
It was the kind of game that probably had every Chiefs fan swearing at their TV. Overtime started with the score tied 27-27, and somehow things got even crazier from there.
Harrison Butker kicked a 31-yard field goal before Spencer Shrader answered from 38. Kansas City then thought it had recovered a fumble to end the game, but replay gave the ball back to Indianapolis. The Colts eventually kicked another field goal to tie it instead of going for the win.
Patrick Mahomes got the ball back and found Kenneth Walker III for 22 yards after Walker had already rushed for 117 on the night. That put Butker in position to win it, and he knocked through a 40-yarder as time expired.
Brittany Mahomes was there for all of it, watching from the stands. So when she admitted afterward that she said “a lot of bad words” during the game, she probably wasn’t alone.

This was not a September throwaway. The Chiefs missed the playoffs in 2025 with a 6-11 record. Patrick turned 31 on Thursday. He is still building back up to a full season.
“We fought until the very end and found a way to get a win,” the three-time Super Bowl champion said. “It wasn’t always pretty.”
