Bryce Young got his first taste of the playoffs last season. And it appears he’ll be doing all he can to get back there after coming close to a Wild Card victory against the Rams.

Young was the No. 1 overall pick in 2023 and is undoubtedly talented. However, he isn’t known as a vocal leader.

That may be about to change.

The former Alabama star was unhappy with what his teammates showed in practice on Tuesday. And he didn’t hide it.

Cameras caught Young ripping into his receivers for dropping passes in the rain at the beginning of team OTAs.

Panthers beat writer Sheena Quick shared a video on X in which the QB could be heard reprimanding teammates.

“It’s not raining anymore,” he said. “Clean this s**t up. It’s not f**king raining. We need better execution.”

Fans love Young’s new attitude.

“Is that Bryce Young or Aaron Rodgers?” one asked.

“Is he becoming…a demon,” another inquired.

“BY9 was channeling his inner Jon Gruden today,” said a third.

“that sounds like a super bowl winning qb right there, the line has moved!” a user claimed.

“FINALLY HEARING THE BOY SWEAR UNCENSORED LFG,” another rejoiced.

Dave Canales Sounds Off on Bryce Young’s Feisty Display

Panthers head coach Dave Canales loves the new Bryce Young, too.

Canales may have been unaware that his QB’s swearing had already made it online when he addressed reporters.

“I love it. Heard him get a little passionate,” he said.

“We got a little bit of a monsoon for a second at practice,” Canales confessed. “When the rain passed, (Young said), ‘Hey let’s lock back in. We gotta come up with those balls. He said it in more colorful language than that.

“I love it that he’s taking ownership of that and the guys see that and rally around that,” the coach added.

Last season, Young led Carolina to its first NFC South championship in 10 years. It’s going to be interesting to see what this firebrand iteration can do.
