The Buffalo Bills left Mile High Stadium on Sunday feeling screwed. Saturday’s Bills-Broncos game went about as controversially as you’d expect for a playoff tilt involving Buffalo.

Several questionable decisions ultimately decided the result. None was bigger than a controversial interception in overtime. The play in question occurred with 7:55 to play in overtime.

Buffalo was trying to drive down the field for a possible game-winning score. Josh Allen attempted to hit Brandin Cooks deep down the field on a 3rd and 11 pass. Cooks appeared to catch the ball initially, but Broncos cornerback Ja’Quan McMillian came up with the ball. The play was ruled an interception fairly quickly, and the Broncos were given possession.

The team then drove down the field and kicked a game-winning field goal. It would eliminate the Buffalo Bills from the playoffs.

Jessica Pegula was just one of many people upset about that call.

Jessica Pegula entered the Australian Open with the attention squarely on her for several reasons. Pegula, seeded sixth at the Australian Open, prevailed in straight sets in her opening match of the season’s first Grand Slam tournament.

She defeated unseeded Russian player Anastasia Zakharova 6-2, 6-1 on Sunday night at John Cain Arena in Melbourne. Pegula will now advance to the second round, where she will meet compatriot McCartney Kessler on Wednesday.

Following the contest, she wanted the world to know she was thinking about the Buffalo Bills. The World No. 6 is the daughter of Buffalo Bills owners Terry and Kim Pegula. She shared many posts on Instagram showing that Brandin Cooks had possession before it was taken from him.

That was just the start of it. Pegula also signed a camera lens that read, “That was a catch.”

It was a brutal result that left Josh Allen in tears after the contest. One more wasted year without him in the Super Bowl.
