We are just a few hours away from Bad Bunny taking the stage at Super Bowl 60. California Gov. Gavin Newsom is incredibly excited about it.
The Latin superstar, who has walked back his Spanish-singing comments for the big day, has been the subject of many headlines. The Puerto Rican rapper is already a global phenomenon, but not many American fans were thrilled to learn of his selection.
Anyone who has a problem with it will most certainly tune in to the Turning Point halftime show. MAGA is set to hold its very own All-American Halftime Show in protest of the 2026 Super Bowl halftime musical act. It will air as Bad Bunny takes the Super Bowl stage. Even the President might be tuning in. “I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible,” Trump told the Post.
Bunny sat down with Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden for the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show press conference. The 2026 Grammy Album of the Year winner promised, “It’s gonna be fun.”
In the meantime, he is receiving a ton of praise from California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

“WE LOVE BAD BUNNY! HE IS NEARLY AS ‘HOT’ AS ME, WHICH IS A BIG COMPLIMENT, BECAUSE THERE IS NOBODY ‘HOTTER,’” the governor’s office posted. “HAPPY BAD BUNNY DAY, AMERICA. ENJOY!!!”
AS MANY PEOPLE KNOW, I AM A TREMENDOUS LOVER OF “THE SPANISH.” IT IS A BEAUTIFUL LANGUAGE SPOKEN BY MANY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE IN THE GREAT STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND ACROSS THE WORLD. I AM ALSO A HUGE FAN OF PUERRRRRRRTO RICO. THAT IS WHY I AM DECLARING TOMORROW IN CALIFORNIA AS “BAD…

He also took some time to troll Kid Rock, who is headlining an alternative Super Bowl halftime show broadcast.

The selection of Bunny to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show is a major moment of Latin identity and culture in the United States. Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio’s Super Bowl announcement included a pointed dedication: “This is for my people, my culture, and our history.”
