Cam Skattebo Trade Rumors Heat Up — Latest Pitch Sends Giants RB To NFC Contender After His Week 6 Benching

Cam Skattebo has become a popular topic in the NFL over the past couple of weeks amid a rough start to the campaign. Skattebo has struggled to protect the ball. John Harbaugh addressed his fumbles ahead of Sunday’s duel against the New Orleans Saints, saying there would be a point at which he would make changes depending on Skattebo’s performance.
The second-year running back then got zero carries in Week 6, which raised eyebrows among fans who didn’t buy Harbaugh’s denial of benching Skattebo.
“It wasn’t by design for him not to carry the ball. It was just, when he was in there, we didn’t call any runs,” Harbaugh said after the Giants’ 34-27 loss at MetLife Stadium.
Seattle Could Offer A Fresh Start While New York Addresses Defensive Needs

The Skattebo saga could open the door for the Giants to improve their defense while giving the running back a chance to start fresh somewhere else. On Monday, Ryan Roberts of A to Z Sports floated a trade between the Giants and the Seattle Seahawks.
The defending Super Bowl champions could receive Cam Skattebo, while the Giants could welcome defensive tackle Rylie Mills and a 2027 fifth-round pick (projected 165th pick).
“Seattle has a huge need at running back. First-round pick Jadarian Price is dealing with injuries, and the Seahawks are still waiting for Zach Charbonnet to return from his own injury. Adding Skattebo would give the backfield an immediate boost,” Roberts wrote.
He added that the Giants have a need a defensive tackle and Mills could be a solid candidate to fill it. Mills isn’t a starter in Seattle, but he has shown flashes of quality whenever he’s on the pitch.
This is only an idea, but if the Giants, unknowingly or deliberately continue to snub Skattebo, the Seahawks could try their luck before the deadline.
