Wake Forest Demon Deacons running back Demond Claiborne is going to look back on this moment and grow from it.

There were hundreds of NFL hopefuls at the NFL combine in Indianapolis over the past few days. Many players made waves with their 40-yard dash, while others made waves with their weird interviews. Not everybody can come out as a winner at the combine.

In fact, Yahoo Sports NFL Draft expert Frank Schwab put together a list of winners and losers. He called Notre Dame wide receiver Malachi Fields a loser and said he might be pushing himself out of the first round. Schwab also listed Miami’s Reuben Bain Jr. as a loser.

Based on how reporters treated Demond Claiborne, he may have come away feeling like a loser.

One thing all players have to do at the NFL combine is speak to reporters and answer a bevy of questions.

Claiborne, who ran a 4.37-second 40-yard, had his moment with reporters, but it looked much different than other players. Cameras caught him answering questions, but only two reporters cared to stop by.

“Type of stuff that makes me tear up,” sports reporter Talia Baia said while posting the video. It is unknown if she went over and spoke with Demond Claiborne.

Claiborne is a former four-star recruit who has true home-run speed. He shows solid upside as a receiver and pass protector. However, teams may be turned off by his lack of size, which can limit his reliability in pass protection.

He is roughly 5-foot-10 and 195 pounds.

In 2025, Claiborne rushed for 907 yards and 10 touchdowns on 178 carries and hauled in 28 receptions for 140 yards. Any team would be lucky to have a player who is going to have a massive chip on his shoulder.
