The Carolina Panthers have announced a decision on their field logo heading into Week 17.
The NFC South team has a chance to make the playoffs this season, but a real challenge lies ahead. Carolina is set to play one of the best teams in the NFL this season in the Seattle Seahawks.
In the meantime, they’ve made an announcement that has gone down well with fans. They’re keeping their old field logo for Sunday’s game after beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with it last week.
“Running back the throwback,” they shared on X on Friday.

“Perfection. Just bring the original logo back full time. Slap it on the helmets,” another advised.

Carolina Panthers Involved In One Of The Most Exciting Countdowns To The Playoffs

The last two weeks of the regular season will see the Panthers and Bucs fight it out for control of the NFC South. The division winner will be guaranteed a spot in the playoffs, as well as a home game. The loser will miss out, given that the wild card is out of reach for both of them.
Carolina has the edge at 8-7 after beating Tampa Bay in Week 16, condemning them to a 7-8 record.
They will play each other again in Week 18 in what could be one of the most interesting scenarios to end the regular season.
Of course, there’s Week 17 to go through first. And the NFL already delivered some good news on that front.
The Panthers would win the division if they beat Seattle on Sunday and the Bucs lose to the Miami Dolphins. They could also secure a playoff spot with a win over Tampa Bay in Week 18.
