Los Angeles Chargers guard Ben Cleveland has agreed to pay his ex-wife, Kaitlyn Terrell, a hefty amount of cash to finalize their divorce.

In March of last year, news emerged that Ben Cleveland had filed for divorce from Kaitlyn Terrell after less than three years of marriage.

The news came just a couple of weeks after he was arrested for driving under the influence in Georgia. Cleveland alleged that his estranged wife cheated on him during their marriage, a claim that she denied.

But more than a year after they split up, a resolution has finally been met. And Terrell is going to get a nice chunk of cash from her ex-husband.

According to Edward Lewis of the California Post, Ben Cleveland has agreed to pay Kaitlyn Terrell $550,000 as part of the divorce settlement. The agreement outlines that Terrell also agreed to give up “her rights to some real estate owned by the former couple,” per Lewis.

The agreement isn’t official just yet, as Lewis noted that a judge must sign off on it. Barring any obstacles, it looks like Cleveland and Terrell have handled the messy process and are ready to move forward with their lives.

The Baltimore Ravens drafted Cleveland in the third round (94th overall) in 2021. He spent his first five seasons with the AFC North club, appearing in 64 games over that period.

Cleveland was used primarily as a rotational player, starting just seven of those 64 games. Four of those starts came in his 2021 rookie year, when the Ravens boasted a lackluster offensive line.

The Ravens waived Cleveland on Jan. 1 after he was suspended for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. He was then signed to the Chargers’ practice squad in January. He eventually signed a futures deal after their playoff loss to the New England Patriots.
