The Chicago Bears are receiving high praise from football fans for choosing Jim Cornelison to perform the National Anthem before Sunday’s Divisional Round Game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Hockey fans know Jim Cornelison very well as the performer of “The Star-Spangled Banner” for Chicago Blackhawks home games at the United Center. On Sunday, Cornelison was also brought in to sing the national anthem before the Bears-Rams game.

And he delivered a 10/10 masterpiece:

Fans praised Cornelison for his excellent performance on the big stage:

“Insane: Jim Cornelison delivered one of the best National Anthem renditions of all time in Chicago before tonight’s game between the Bears and the Rams. What a freaking moment,” one fan wrote.

“The man is a fixture in Chicago, and I rank this with Whitney Houston’s Super Bowl anthem,” another said.

“ABSOLUTELY NOBODY BETTER 🐐,” a user quipped.

“I would be so hyped after listening to this,” wrote a fan.

“jim’s voice really gives me chills every time,” another commented.

“This was ABSOLUTELY amazing!!! More of this please!!!” a user added.

Last week, the Bears defeated the Green Bay Packers 31-27 for their first playoff win in 15 years. Now, we wait and see if they can get back to the NFC Championship Game.
