Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams raised eyebrows on social media on Monday. The former No. 1 overall pick continued Chicago’s cross-sport supporting tradition during the Chicago Blackhawks’ 2-0 win over the Winnipeg Jets.

During the first quarter, cameras spotted the second-year quarterback next to Chicago Cubs’ star Pete Crow-Armstrong. The two stars cheered for the Blackhawks and fired up the crowd. People in the arena responded with a loud ovation for the MLB and the NFL star.

The situation looked different on social media. Despite making one of the best throws in NFL playoffs history to send the divisional round game against the Los Angeles Rams to overtime, Williams’ performance rubbed people the wrong way.

Caleb Williams went 23 of 42 for 257 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions against the Rams. While he kept the team in the game, many fans didn’t forget or forgive the three interceptions. Fans criticized him and PCA for not delivering in the postseason.

“Two playoff droppers,” one fan said.

“Doing the Iceman thing the day after throwing 3 picks in a playoff loss is comedy,” another fan said.

“Caleb should be in the lab right now working on his accuracy.. 3 picks,” a third fan wrote.

“I’m sorry I don’t want my QB pulling up the next day after taking that L,” a fourth fan added.

“2 losers,” a fifth fan said.

“That sweater was later intercepted,” a sixth fan said.

Regardless of the loss, Caleb Williams and the Bears made strides this season. However, it seems that Bears fans joined Green Bay Packers fan Lil Wayne in criticizing Williams.
