Prayers up for Tyquan Thornton.
Kansas City Chiefs breakout wide receiver Tyquan Thornton suffered a devastating, gruesome injury during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s division game.
The young deep threat was having a spectacular afternoon against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium. He had already caught two touchdown passes from Patrick Mahomes to keep the offense highly competitive on the road. Subsequently, Thornton hauled in a massive 55-yard deep completion down the sideline late in the final period.
As he fell to the turf, his lower leg folded awkwardly underneath the weight of a defender.
Tyquan Thornton Had No Clue

The explosive pass-catcher celebrated his catch and had no clue that he was injured. It wasn’t until he stood up and saw his leg turned the wrong way that he would collapse to the ground.
Eventually, he would be loaded on a cart and taken off the field. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that his season is over.
Before suffering his brutal fourth-quarter injury, Tyquan Thornton was having a career-defining, highly dominant performance for the Chiefs.
He hauled in a spectacular 6 receptions on eight total targets from quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Subsequently, those critical catches generated a team-high 142 receiving yards inside the loud Allegiant Stadium.
Thornton found the end zone twice, recording his very first multi-touchdown performance of the 2026 season.
