The Maxx Crosby trade to the Baltimore Ravens caught a lot of people off guard. When the Dallas Cowboys looked like a lock to land the star defensive end, the Ravens popped up, offered two first-rounders to the Las Vegas Raiders and acquired one of the league’s top pass rushers.

A Cincinnati Bengals star couldn’t believe what the Ravens did with this move. Ja’Marr Chase had a strong reaction after learning about the news. It was Joe Burrow, who will have to face Crosby, Myles Garrett and T.J. Watt twice a year, who broke the news.

“Joe just f***ing texted me, ‘Ravens traded for Maxx Crosby.’ No f***ing s**t!” Chase said. “I’m f***ing highly pissed right now. Oh my god. How the f**k do we let this n***a go to the f***ing division, bro? Oh my god.”

Crosby would have been a game-changer for any team in the league. The Ravens, who missed the 2025 NFL playoffs, will look like Super Bowl contenders again in 2026.

Ja’Marr Chase Tried To Land Maxx Crosby In Cincinnati

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase (1) runs for the locker room after the fourth quarter of the NFL Week 4 Monday Night Football game between the Denver Broncos and the Cincinnati Bengals at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025. The Bengals fell to 2-2 with a 28-3 loss to the Broncos.

Back in February, Ja’Marr Chase tried to get Maxx Crosby to the AFC North division. Of course, he would have loved to see the pass rusher join the Bengals, who parted ways with Trey Hendrickson this offseason. Talking with Kay Adams, Chase revealed he wanted to team up with Crosby.

“I wanna go with your boy from Vegas, though. Maxx Crosby,” Chase said on Feb. 4.

The Bengals’ defense has been a disaster for years. They need to make a splash (or several) this offseason to compete in the difficult AFC North. The offensive line also needs a lot of work, which makes it hard for Burrow and Co. to return to the Super Bowl.
