Social media is calling out a New England Patriots fan for a cruel and unnecessary Charlie Kirk comment directed at Houston Texans wide receiver Christian Kirk.
The Patriots defeated the Texans 28-16 in the Divisional Round last week, advancing to the AFC Championship Game for the first time in seven years. Mike Vrabel’s group will visit the top-seeded Denver Broncos in the conference title game this Sunday.
Prominent political activist Charlie Kirk was killed during a public event at Utah State University on Sept. 10. The shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, turned himself in after a giant manhunt.
Before the Patriots-Texans game on, a New England fan could be heard telling the Houston wide receiver, “Christian Kirk, you ain’t even the most famous Kirk! No one knows you!”

The Patriots limited Christian Kirk to two catches for 20 yards, though he had a 10-yard touchdown.
Christian Kirk Had A Frustrating 2025 Season

The Texans acquired Kirk, who was heading into the final year of his contract, in an offseason trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. With Tank Dell sidelined the entire year, Houston had hoped that Kirk could provide valuable pass-catching depth.
But Kirk missed four games and was unable to make much of an impact in Houston’s sluggish passing game. Per Pro Football Reference, he had just 28 receptions for 239 yards and one touchdown.
As a former 1,000-yard receiver, Kirk should have multiple teams interested in free agency. Staying healthy has been an issue for Kirk. But, he could regain that star-like form if he lands on the right team in 2026 and avoids the injury bug.
