Cleveland Browns star defender Myles Garrett has been mentioned in multiple trade rumors in recent times. After requesting a trade and making a U-turn last season, it seemed that he would stay the rest of his career with the AFC North franchise.

Garrett could make any defense in the league instantly better with his presence. That is why trade rumors resurfaced after the Browns modified the language in his contract earlier this week.

The move sparked plenty of speculation, with contenders in the AFC and the NFC being mentioned as potential landing spots for the two-time Defensive Player of the Year. Meanwhile, general manager Andrew Berry explained the team’s plans regarding Garrett.

With other stars pass rushers swapping teams, such as Micah Parsons and Maxx Crosby (before the Ravens sent him back to Las Vegas), some thought the Browns could cash in on Garrett’s strong 2025 season and get a plethora of picks.

However, Andrew Berry made it clear that Garrett won’t be on the move in a video shared by insider Mary Kay Cabot.

“Myles is a career Brown,” Berry said. “He is one of the faces of our organization. I think we’ve been very clear both past and present in terms our feelings. I understand all the questions, but I’ll be honest: I don’t really want to waste a ton more breath on the topic.”

The Browns don’t seem to be getting better anytime soon. It will take a lot before they can contend. Garrett isn’t getting any younger. Even though the Browns have no plans of moving him, perhaps another trade request might be on the way.
