Myles Garrett has been linked with plenty of trade rumors in recent months, especially after the Cleveland Browns reworked his deal earlier this offseason.

Coming off a record-breaking 2025 season, Garrett remains the best defensive player in the league. A year after he requested a trade, the Browns could be in a position where they have no other option than trading him.

NFL insider Albert Greer reported on Wednesday that Garrett’s tenure with the Browns could be nearing its end.

“Things are ‘TBD’ until you hear otherwise,” Breer said, per TheDawgsPodcast on Instagram. “That could be next week. That could be the trade deadline. It’s absolutely something worth paying attention to. This could just be time.”

The Chicago Bears have been linked with a move for Garrett in recent weeks. After Todd Monken said that he had yet to meet the player face-to-face, speculation ignited.

The NFC North team owns all of its 2027 draft picks. This could unlock negotiations with the Browns, considering that next year’s draft will be filled with plenty of talent at different positions.

Garrett won’t come at a low price, but the Bears can make things work. Adding the pass rusher to the roster would make them immediate contenders while creating a terrifying duo with Montez Sweat. Pass rushing remains Chicago’s biggest weakness, but Garrett’s potential arrival would solve all those issues.
