Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer got emotional while speaking about his wife on Thursday.
Schottenheimer is heading into his second year in charge of the Cowboys, but is in Year 24 in his marriage.
The 52-year-old got married in 2002. He and his wife, Gemmi, share two children.
It’s been a pretty wild offseason for NFL relationships. Schottenheimer’s quarterback, Dak Prescott, saw his wedding plans blow up during his bachelor party.
Prescott and ex-fiancee Sara Jane Ramos called off their nuptials after something went down during their joint celebrations in the Bahamas.
Mike Vrabel Catches Strays As Reporter Asks Brian Schottenheimer Important Relationship Question

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel was also caught red-handed after taking his team to the Super Bowl.
Photographs with reporter Dianna Russini together blew the lid off an apparent affair that had been going on for at least six years.
It could be the reason one reporter decided to ask about marriage in football.
The journo asked Schottenheimer the message he would “give to the brides and to the players to make a marriage work in this football life.”
“Well, number one I think it’s the most important decision that you make in your life,” he replied. “I know I would not be there, I don’t want to get emotional talking about my wife but…”
Schottenheimer paused to compose himself as emotion took over and his voice began to crack.
“I know I would not be here if it wasn’t for her. But it’s the biggest decision you’re going to make in your life,” the Cowboys HC continued.
“In this business you better find somebody that’s independent because they wear a lot of hats. Whether it’s chasing owls out of the house or things like that, moving. She doesn’t want me around when we move. She wants me out of the house and some place else.
“You find the right one, you’ve got to communicate. It’s never 50-50, it’s usually 70-30, 80-20, 20-80 and you just appreciate that. I’m very blessed.”
“Wonder if anyone in the Boston media can ask Vrabel that question,” someone joked in the comments.

Mike Vrabel was always going to catch strays with this one. Fortunately, it appears Dak Prescott was spared.
