Cowboys Star WR George Pickens Gets Traded To Kansas City Chiefs In Blockbuster Proposal That Could “Unlock His Best Version”

Trade speculation doesn’t stop in the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys have been mentioned in a couple of mock trades in recent hours. Dallas once again was linked with a move for Las Vegas Raiders defensive star Maxx Crosby months after they failed to acquire his services.
Former guard and three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth floated the idea of a swap involving George Pickens for Crosby.
“Oh, yeah. Would I do that? I’d do that in the RV. Yeah, I wouldn’t even think twice about it,” Schlereth said on 105.3 The Fan.
Pickens had his best season in 2025, when he arrived from the Pittsburgh Steelers via trade. However, this campaign hasn’t started off well, opening the door for trade buzz.
Proposed Trade Lands George Pickens on Kansas City

On Wednesday, a mock trade involving Pickens hit NFL Twitter. The move would send the veteran wide receiver to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a first-round pick, a fourth-round pick and Xavier Worthy.

The Chiefs sit at 5-1 after losing to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night. They need a lot of help at wide receiver and pairing Pickens with Mahomes could solve a lot of their problems. Pickens would become WR1 in Kansas instead of sharing the spotlight with CeeDee Lamb.
The trade deadline is about two weeks away. This move could put the Chiefs in a solid position to compete.
