Almost every NFL team has cheerleaders, but nobody does it like the Dallas Cowboys. They are the most famous cheerleading squad in the entire NFL.

Every year, thousands of young women try out in hopes of making the squad. They are so popular that Netflix has a docuseries titled America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders that focuses on the Cheerleaders’ tryout process and team. It has aired two seasons, with a third season confirmed for 2026.

Once you make it, you are a Cowboys cheerleader for life. You can launch an incredible second career as thousands, if not millions, of fans will flood your social media channels.

This week, several team members are going viral over a locker room picture. On Wednesday, cheerleader Reece Weaver posted a plethora of pictures on Instagram.

“Lots of love so far this month🥰💌🫶🏼, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader wrote. Amid the pictures was a snap of her and five other girls posing in a mirror. One of the girls was Charly Barby, who was a fan favorite who made the team in 2024.

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Are Hoping The Team Gives Them More To Cheer For In 2026

It was a tough season for the Boyz in Dallas in 2025. The Dallas Cowboys missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year. They also extended their championship drought to 30 years.

Under first-year coach Brian Schottenheimer, the Dallas Cowboys finished 7-9-1. Quarterback Dak Prescott led one of the top offenses in the league, but a majority of Dallas’ problems stemmed from the defensive side of the ball. Trading Micah Parsons to the Packers certainly did not help.

The unit allowed an average of 377 total yards, 251.5 passing yards, and 30.1 points per game without him. All ranked among the bottom three in the NFL.

Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys will turn their attention to free agency, which opens March 11.
