Dallas Cowboys Drop Brutal Update Before Must-Win ‘TNF’ Game vs. Detroit Lions

The Dallas Cowboys shared some concerning injury news on three key players ahead of their crucial ‘Thursday Night Football’ clash with the Detroit Lions.
Brian Schottenheimer’s Dallas Cowboys enter the game with a 6-5-1 record, while the equally desperate Lions sit at 7-5. A Dallas win, coupled with a Philadelphia Eagles loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, would have the Cowboys just half a game out of the NFC East division lead.
Unfortunately for the red-hot Cowboys, they’ll also be shorthanded in the highly anticipated showdown with Detroit.
Per Patrik Walker of the Cowboys’ team website, offensive tackle Tyler Guyton is out for Thursday night. Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is nursing a hamstring injury and has been listed as a game-time decision.
Additionally, Dallas Cowboys All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs will not make his season debut after being designated for a return.
On the other sideline, Detroit wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown injured his ankle last week against the Green Bay Packers and is also a game-time decision.
Dallas Cowboys Are Very Much In The Playoff Race

The Cowboys saved their season with a thrilling 31-28 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving Day last week. The Chiefs-Cowboys contest set an impressive record as the most-watched regular-season game in league history with 57.230 million viewers.
After visiting Detroit, the Dallas Cowboys will return home to face the Minnesota Vikings (4-8) and banged-up Chargers. They’ll close out the regular season against the Washington Commanders (3-9) and New York Giants (2-11). Winning out is very doable.
Philly visits LA on Monday night next week. They will host the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15 before visiting the Washington Commanders and Buffalo Bills. The regular season ends with a home tilt against the Commanders.
Winning out would get the Dallas Cowboys to 11-5-1. That means they would need the Eagles to lose two more games to win the division. That’s not out of the question, given how the Eagles have played this season, especially if Washington has Jayden Daniels back for at least one of those to meetings.
