Dallas Cowboys Pull Off Blockbuster Trade With Green Bay Packers For 28-Year-Old Pro Bowl Superstar

Last week, Green Bay Packers pass-rusher Rashan Gary signaled the end of his career with the team. Gary announced on Instagram that his time in Green Bay was over before deleting the post on Friday, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Just a few days later, he would be correct as the team traded him to the Dallas Cowboys.
Dallas is giving up a 2027 third-round pick for Gary. Green Bay was widely expected to move on from Gary this offseason, potentially via release. Now they have a draft pick instead of getting nothing at all.

Rashan Gary finished with 45 tackles, 20 quarterback hits, and 7.5 sacks across 16 appearances during his 2025 campaign. However, he wasn’t able to record a sack over his final nine regular-season games.
He’s spent his entire career with the Packers after they selected him with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft.
This move by the Cowboys makes up for them swinging and missing to get Maxx Crosby.
