The Dallas Cowboys have plenty of options for the upcoming NFL draft. After a busy free agency, they focus on the upcoming event, where new players could elevate the Cowboys’ game.

On Saturday, Chad Reuter of NFL.com linked them with an Ohio State wide receiver prospect. They would use the No. 12 pick on Carnell Tate.

“It’s unclear whether George Pickens will be traded or play in Dallas on the franchise tag,” Reuter wrote. “If Pickens stays, adding Tate on the outside and moving CeeDee Lamb into the slot would be a beautiful setup for quarterback Dak Prescott.”

On Wednesday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic projected the Cowboys to trade up to put their hands on one of the best prospects in this year’s class. Tafur predicted that Dallas would go up to the No. 3 spot in April and select Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love.

“No one is talking about how undervalued the running back position is when a polished prospect like Love pops up,” Tafur wrote on Wednesday. “Looking at those odds again, Love is +145 to go third in the draft — as opposed to -145 at No. 4 — and a 20-1 shot to be drafted by the Cowboys, per BetMGM.”

Love is one of the best players in his class. Love and the Cowboys crossed paths before. However, the first time the rumor came up, the RB was believed to be available at No. 8.
