Dave Portnoy Is Urging The New England Patriots To Destroy Tom Brady’s Statue

Dave Portnoy has taken another swipe at Tom Brady.
The Barstool Sports owner suggested he was done with the former New England Patriots quarterback before the Super Bowl.
Portnoy’s incendiary comments came on the back of Brady’s refusal to back the Patriots ahead of the big game. Now a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and FOX announcer, Brady claimed he had no dog in the fight before the Pats lost to the Seattle Seahawks.
Dave, a Patriots fan, is now convinced that Brady hates his former team.
The Raiders traded Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens instead of letting him join New England. One ESPN source claimed there was no way “Tom was sending Maxx to Vrabel.”
“It’s starting to sound like a broken record here, where Tom Brady is slighting the New England Patriots…,’ on social media this week. ‘It’s just one thing after another, to the point that if you’re a Patriots fan, you can come [to] not other conclusion other than that he hates the New England Patriots. It’s not an accident.”
“We just put up a statue of the guy,” Portnoy continued. “I say tear it down. Thank you for your Super Bowls. You’re just a guy. Go play in your flag football games. Go be in a million different ads, but I don’t need you in my life anymore, and you don’t need us.”
Tom Brady Wanted To Back His New Coach

While Portnoy and Patriots fans have every right to feel burned by Brady’s Super Bowl stance, the seven-time winner offered a pretty reasonable explanation.
The Raiders agreed to hire Klint Kubiak as their head coach while he was still the Seahawks’ offensive coordinator. Brady didn’t want to root against his incoming HC.
“As a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, we just hired Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak to be our next head coach,” he said. “I’ve gotten to know Klint and have great respect and appreciation for the job he does. So if he wins, I would be very happy for him as well. Tough to root against the guy I just hired to be my next head coach!
“At the end of the day, I will be happy regardless.”
Kubiak went on to win the Super Bowl with Seattle and will now look to turn things around in Vegas.
He’s going to have to do that with one of the best defensive players in the game. But he’s obviously an offensive-minded coach, and it’s where he’ll look to stamp his influence.
