The Denver Broncos were one game away from playing in Super Bowl 60 against the Seattle Seahawks. Following a 14-3 season, they entered the offseason with a couple of questions to answer.

Sean Payton made changes to the coaching staff, and the roster should also undergo changes. The Broncos’ aerial game could be better in 2026. Despite ranking seventh in receptions (388), they ranked 25th in yards per reception (10.5). Payton made it clear that the receivers needed to do a better job protecting the ball, which could lead to multiple changes.

Tight end Evan Engram arrived with high expectations, but his 2025 season wasn’t spectacular. The former New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars tight end played 16 games, recording 50 receptions (the fifth-lowest number in his career) for 461 yards (second-lowest) and one touchdown.

Denver Broncos Could Land David Njoku In The Offseason

A strong candidate to take over from Evan Engram popped up on Monday. David Njoku, one of the most important players on the Cleveland Browns roster, bid farewell to Cleveland fans with an Instagram post.

“Cleveland, first off I love you. These 9 years have been a beautiful journey. I’m am so grateful for all the memories we shared together,” Njoku posted.

“The time for me to find a new home has come and all I can think of is just the gratefulness in my heart. The city of Cleveland will forever be home [heart emoji] #ChiefOut”

DNVR’s Zac Stevens named Njoku a potential target for the Broncos in the 2026 NFL free agency. The 30-year-old tight end comes off a four-year, $54.7 million deal with the Browns.

The addition of Harold Fanning Jr. might have prompted his decision to leave the Browns.

Despite being Denver’s third-leading receiver in yards, catches and touchdowns, his contribution wasn’t as big as many thought.

Adding a player like David Njoku would put pressure on Engram and Adam Trautman, and it seems that the Broncos might be serious about the veteran.
