Desperate Baltimore Ravens Looking At Adding Former Patriots 1,000-Yard Wide Receiver

Heading into Week 2, the Baltimore Ravens will be without prized rookie wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane. His NFL debut was cut short due to a wrist injury.
Furthermore, Lane will reportedly miss several weeks after going down against the Indianapolis Colts. With their rookie out, the Ravens need additional depth at WR.
As their WR injuries have piled up, the team has signed Gage Larvadain to the practice squad. Then, they moved Chris Moore to the active roster. But still, the team thinks more could be done.
Baltimore Ravens Worked Out Veteran Brandin Cooks

The Baltimore Ravens have sought outside help. According to a new report from Mike Garafolo, the team has worked out free agent WR Brandin Cooks.

If signed, the Ravens would be Cooks’ eighth team in the NFL. Moreover, he’s tied for the record for the most traded player in NFL history, having been traded four times.
Cooks shares that distinct record with Eric Dickerson and Kiko Alonso.
Zay Flowers’ Week 2 Status Remains Uncertain

Injuries have become quite common around the league in opening week. And it’s not just Lane who’s going to be out in Week 2. Right now, the Ravens’ star wide receiver, Zay Flowers, might also miss their impending matchup against New Orleans.
It is reported that he missed the team’s practices this week. He sustained a hamstring injury in Week 1 against the Colts.
Flowers’ injury poses a huge concern for the Baltimore Ravens. He already dealt with the same hamstring issues during training camp. As a result, the team shut him down two weeks before their season opener. However, it seems that his hamstring issue hasn’t fully healed or was reaggravated.
With Lane awaiting surgery, the WR depth for the Ravens is paper-thin. They could not afford additional injuries from their current receivers. It’s unclear if they will sign Cook after his workout. But he’ll definitely help a bit until their stars are back.
