Last month, it was revealed that Terrion Arnold was named in a Florida robbery/kidnapping case. The Detroit Lions cornerback was implicated in a plot to impose “vigilante justice.” It was allegedly against a chauffeur and two other people he suspected of burglarizing the Airbnb in Florida where he had been staying.

Arnold is not charged with a crime. However, his friend Boakai Eugene Hilton was the brains behind the alleged scheme, Hillsborough County Circuit Court Judge J. Logan Murphy wrote in a seven-page order.

“Hilton appears to be the quarterback calling the play,” Murphy wrote. “Hilton orchestrates the ambush.”

The 23-year-old Hilton was arrested on Feb. 17 and has been held at the Hillsborough County Jail since then. At the time of his arrest, Terrion Arnold’s lawyer denied any wrongdoing in a statement to TMZ.

“He did not participate in, nor was he present for, any conduct related to the alleged offenses,” the statement said. “There is no evidence in police reports, text messages, or witness statements that implicates Mr. Arnold in any way.”

The Detroit Lions might have a serious problem on their hands when it comes to Terrion Arnold.

Arnold’s name was at the center of a text exchange planning an alleged armed robbery and kidnapping in February, per The Detroit News. Text messages in the possession of the Florida State Attorney’s office mention Arnold’s name in the planning of the incident.

The publication says messages were turned over to defense attorneys as part of the discovery phase of a case against four men and two women who face life in prison. It should be noted that Arnold has not been charged with a crime.

“His expectations are he’s not going to be charged,” Arnold’s attorney, Tim Jansen, told the Free Press on Thursday.

“He hasn’t been charged, and I haven’t seen these text messages, but they obviously have them, and they haven’t charged him. The fact that he knows some of these people is hardly evidence, he committed a crime, and we believe he’s not going to be charged.”

Terrion Arnold was not a recipient of any of the messages in the 101-page document.

Through his first two seasons, Arnold has one interception and 18 pass breakups. It is unknown if the NFL might look into this case and levy any punishment against him.
