Super Bowl week is here, and the attention is not just on the game. Attention has also turned to where the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots are staying as they prepare.

Both teams have moved into league-assigned hotels near Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, which will host the Super Bowl on February 8. The hotels are less than an hour from San Francisco and close to the stadium, making travel easy.

As players focus on practices and game plans, fans have started looking into the hotels themselves. Online reviews show a mix of positives and negatives, with some guests praising the comfort while others raising a few surprising complaints.

The New England Patriots are staying at the Santa Clara Marriott for Super Bowl week. The three-star hotel is just a five-minute walk from Levi’s Stadium. Head coach Mike Vrabel and quarterback Drake Maye will be based close to the field as the team chases its first Super Bowl title since Tom Brady left in 2020.

The Patriots will practice at Stanford University in Palo Alto, about a 20-minute drive away. The hotel has meeting rooms, a gym, and an outdoor pool, though mild temperatures may keep the pool mostly unused.

Room prices change a lot. Some nights in February cost around $138, but prices jump past $500 during Super Bowl week.

Guest reviews paint a mixed picture. One recent guest wrote they could not get a room “that didn’t smell like smoke.” Another complained about low water pressure. A recent review also claimed there was a cockroach in the room. The hotel responded to the smoke issue but did not comment on the bug complaint. Many guests still praise the location, especially for 49ers games.

The Seattle Seahawks will stay at the four-star San Jose Marriott, about 15 minutes from the Super Bowl stadium. Head coach Mike Macdonald and the team will practice at San Jose State. The hotel features a rooftop pool, meeting spaces, a gym, and several nearby dining options.

Some guests reported issues. One review described constant noise from a crosswalk buzzer. “The buzzer sounded all night long as if my alarm was going off,” the guest wrote. Another guest said bugs bit them during their stay. The hotel responded that a third-party inspection found no issues. Staff said they would have moved the guest with noise complaints if asked.

Overall, most reviews for both hotels are positive. The NFL selects Super Bowl hotels and aims to place teams in safe, high-quality accommodations. Marriott declined to add further comment.
