DK Metcalf continues to do the wrong things while in Pittsburgh.
Metcalf arrived in Pittsburgh via a trade from the Seattle Seahawks in March 2025. Furthermore, he signed a four-year, $132 million contract extension shortly after joining the team.
He stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 229 pounds. Consequently, his rare combination of strength and speed allows him to bully defenders and serve as a top target for quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Unfortunately, his behavior sometimes gets him in trouble.
Metcalf proved that again this week.
DK Metcalf Posts Grocery Worker Photo — and Fans Call It “Whack”

An Instagram story from Steelers receiver DK Metcalf was circulated Thursday. A grocery worker was photographed from behind while stocking a meat case. Overlay text on the photo reads, “The build.” Another line joked that God made a “2 waist build.”
DK Metcalf posted it to his Instagram, where millions of his followers could see it. Taking pictures of a stranger at work was immediately called out as the picture made its way to X.
Consequently, the joke was treated as a punch down, not a punchline. Steelers reporter Anthony Halkias asked what was being done here. “Pretty whack,” was the verdict attached to the public pile-on.
Metcalf Was Suspended in 2025 For His Behavior

In December 2025, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf was handed a two-game suspension by the NFL. During a Week 16 victory against the Detroit Lions, Metcalf walked over to the stands and initiated a physical confrontation with a fan.
Subsequently, video footage captured the receiver grabbing the fan by the shirt collar and forcefully shoving him back. Meanwhile, reports emerged from former NFL player Chad Johnson indicating that the fan had provoked Metcalf by using racial slurs.
Conversely, the fan’s legal representative categorically denied any use of hate-based language.
As a result, Metcalf was sidelined for the final two games of the regular season against Cleveland and Baltimore. During his debut season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, DK Metcalf hauled in 59 catches for 850 yards and six touchdowns.
