President Donald Trump claimed to have no idea who a certain NFL Hall of Famer was while addressing a crowd at Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, on Friday.
According to Donald Trump Jr., his father knows more about sports “than just about any human being not in the business.”
He would have probably been in the business had he bought the Cowboys several decades ago.
Having made an appearance in more recent times, the POTUS proved his son wrong.
“Look at this guy over here,” Trump said of former left tackle Joe Thomas. “I don’t know who he is, but he is one hell of a specimen.”
“I appreciate that,” Thomas said, shaking Trump’s hand
Trump was speaking at an agricultural roundtable discussion in the state.
“I thought I was big until I met you, Joe,” the President continued. “Look at the size of this guy! Boy oh boy. So you’re a Hall of Fame… Did anybody get by you? … He’s a good-looking man.”
“Great career, Joe, I know who you are,” he eventually claimed.
Joe Thomas Didn’t Take Offense To Donald Trump’s Antics

Thomas, who hails from Wisconsin, now owns a farm in Wisconsin’s southwest.
A 10-time Pro Bowler and six-time first-team All-Pro, Thomas was even more of a specimen when he played, weighing as much as 312 pounds. He has dropped to the 250-270 pound range since retiring in 2018.
The 41-year-old didn’t feel slighted by Trump’s comments and would later take to social media to claim it was good to meet the President.
