President Donald Trump praised New York Giants star Jaxson Dart amid backlash for attending a rally of the President of the USA in New York. Dart has been in hot water since he introduced Trump at a campaign-style rally for Republican Rep Mike Lawler.

The second-year quarterback was called out by teammate Abdul Carter the next day after the linebacker replied to a social media post with, “thought this sh** was AI, what we doing man.”

Everything seemed to spiral out of control after that. Carter later posted that he spoke with Dart and that the two are “good.” However, the situation still lingered among fans.

The Giants were back together on Wednesday for organized team activities, but this time, things were different. Jaxson Dart reportedly addressed his New York Giants teammates on Wednesday. Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Jameis Winston were reportedly among the players who also spoke during the meeting, according to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan.

It was clear that everyone needed to get back on the same page.

With political tensions simmering behind the scenes, New York Giants star Jaxson Dart made attempts to repair the fractured locker room as he called for a closed-door meeting. Everything could’ve been fixed there, but then the President started to speak.

In a preview of his interview with daughter-in-law Lara for the Fox News show “My View“, Trump spoke glowingly of Dart. A clip from Trump’s interview with Lara Trump highlights Giants QB Jaxson Dart’s support.

“He said, ‘I love you, sir,’ Trump revealed. “And I didn’t know he was doing it. But he’s potentially a great quarterback. He’s a young boy, but when he’s in a game, he moves the team. I watched him a little bit, and he really moves the team. He’s got tremendous potential. If he stays healthy, he’s going to be great,” he said.

This could be a huge problem going forward.

The interaction underscores Dart’s years-long public support for Trump, which boosted his jersey sales despite sparking locker-room and media discussion about NFL players and politics.
