Drake Maye Has No Chance At Winning Super Bowl 60 As Internet Detectives Uncover Shocking Evidence

Drake Maye doesn’t stand a chance in the Super Bowl. At least that’s the way one person sees it.
The New England Patriots quarterback is headed to the big game in his third year. He’s also an MVP candidate given the season he’s had. However, there are a few things working against him with regard to the Super Bowl.
They have everything to do with his name.
An X user has pointed out that starting QBs with a name such as Maye’s haven’t had any fortune in the Super Bowl.
They listed out the following:
- No starting QB w/ a last name less than 5 letters long has won a super bowl
- Starting QBs whose first & last name end in the same letter are 0-6 (.000) in super bowls since the AFC was formed (1970)
- Starting QBs w/ initials DM are 0-2 in the Super Bowl (D.Marino, D.McNabb)
In Maye’s case, there’s more.
Apart from the Seattle Seahawks being favored to win on February 8, the former UNC star is banged up heading into the game. Furthermore, the Patriots have indicated that he wouldn’t have been a full participant in practice on Wednesday had they held one.
That’s because he’s dealing with a shoulder concern.
Drake Maye Downplays Shoulder Injury

Maye admitted he had some “bumps and bruises” after helping the Pats beat the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game. He suffered a hard landing on his right shoulder when safety Talanoa Hufanga tackled him in the third quarter.
The 23-year-old downplayed the injury after the game. He also claimed that “a lot of those guys in that locker room are battling through things.”
“I’m feeling good,” he told WEEI on Tuesday. “Going to get some extra rest. I really don’t think it was from the game, but just the build-up from throwing — this is what, including training camp, 30 weeks of straight of throwing, four days a week. It can add up. I got some extra rest, feeling good, and ready to go for the Super Bowl.”
Maye led the Patriots to a 14-3 regular season record. They’re now set for their first Super Bowl appearance since the Tom Brady era.
