A fascinating blockbuster trade proposal has the Philadelphia Eagles sending superstar wide receiver AJ Brown to an AFC powerhouse for another All-Pro player.

AJ Brown has dominated offseason trade rumors, but a deal has yet to materialize. At this point, it only feels like a matter of time until the Super Bowl 59 champion is given a fresh start.

Last week, a report indicated that Brown would like to be traded to the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers or Buffalo Bills. Brown is coming off a down season in Philly. He caught 78 passes for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns.

The ML Football X/Twitter account proposed a blockbuster trade idea that has Philadelphia trading Brown to the Chargers for superstar safety Derwin James Jr. and a 2026 fourth-round draft pick.

Ladd McConkey led the Chargers with just 789 receiving yards last year, per Pro Football Reference. They could certainly use a No. 1 receiver like Brown to help the offense regain its explosive form.

Eagles Should Trade AJ Brown Before The Draft

The Eagles’ best bet is to trade the All-Pro wide receiver before the 2026 NFL Draft. This year’s class is deep with receivers. So, it’d be ideal for GM Howie Roseman to know by the draft if he needs another WR or not.

Plus, Philly won’t get max value for Brown if they wait until after the draft to move him out. It’s long overdue for both sides to move on. So, the Eagles should be motivated to complete a deal in the next couple of weeks.

The longer this drags on, the worse for all parties.
