Elle Duncan ruthlessly trolled Jameis Winston during Netflix’s Opening Night broadcast of the San Francisco Giants and New York Yankees.

The Giants and Yankees kicked off the 2026 MLB regular-season with an evening showdown at Oracle Park. This opening tilt marked Netflix’s first live MLB game broadcast, too.

Jameis Winston and Elle Duncan were part of Netflix’s star-studded lineup for Opening Night. Before kickoff, Duncan couldn’t help but throw a savage joke at the No. 1 pick of the 2015 NFL Draft.

“Jameis, did you pay for the crab legs?” Duncan asked.

“I may or may not be plotting to find ways to get some fresh crab legs,” Winston replied.

Duncan, of course, is referencing Jameis Winston’s crab legs incident in April 2014. As ESPN noted, Winston left a supermarket in Tallahassee, Florida, with $32.72 worth of crab legs and crawfish without paying for them.

Winston claimed that they were given to him by a supermarket employee. He was issued a civil citation and required to perform 20 hours of community service. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Winston first overall in 2015.

The Yankees defeated the Giants 7-0 in Wednesday’s season opener.

Jameis Winston Will Back Up Jaxson Dart In 2026

Last year, the Giants signed Winston to a two-year contract worth $8 million. He was the third-stringer behind Jaxson Dart and Russell Wilson, who started the first three games before getting benched for Dart.

The Giants decided not to retain Wilson after a forgettable one-year stint. Dart and Winston are the only quarterbacks on New York’s roster right now, so there’s no reason to think the latter won’t open 2026 as the QB2.

Winston appeared in two games with Dart injured last year. He completed 56.1 percent of pass attempts for 567 yards, two touchdowns and as many interceptions. For his career, Winston has 24,792 passing yards and 156 touchdowns.
