Erin Andrews is getting some criticism after she publicly supported Dak Prescott during his recent breakup.
The Dallas Cowboys quarterback and his fiancee, Sarah Jane Ramos, have ended their engagement and called off the wedding. Some reports say the split may be linked to cheating rumors, but Prescott hasn’t spoken much about it.
Andrews, who has covered Prescott for years, spoke in his defense. She shared her view based on her time around him. “I’ve been covering (him) since he took over that job his rookie season, I’ve seen him go through hell and back,” Andrews said. “He’s a guy I get very defensive about because he’s so lovely.”
She went further and added, “Dak is the kind of guy (who you) know everything he stands for off the field.…”
Her comments started various questions. Many fans and critics questioned whether anyone in the media could truly know an athlete’s private life.
Critics Question Erin Andrews’ Stance

Reports from Page Six say, “Sarah Jane Ramos called off her wedding to NFL star Dak Prescott after accusing him of ‘ongoing infidelity issues.” A source told the outlet, “Ramos believes Prescott had a history of communicating with other women during his relationship with her – but that she stayed with him hoping he would clean up his act for the sake of their family.”
Those claims remain unconfirmed by Prescott. Still, they shaped public reaction to Andrews’ comments.
But a critic pushed back on her defense, asking, “Do you?” raising doubts about her statement, “If Prescott is truly guilty of ‘ongoing infidelity issues” – and I certainly do not know that the accusation is true – how can Andrews claim to “know everything he stands for off the field”?”
Questions also state that just because Prescott looks like a strong person in public doesn’t mean he has no personal issues.
“Prescott can be a great teammate and a “lovely” person … and still be the target of the ire of Cowboys fans upset over the team’s shortcomings. Oh, and be the target of NFL fans because Dallas is the No. 1 team in sports when it comes to “loving to hate,’” the critic said.
Erin Andrews has not responded to the criticism. Prescott has also stayed mostly quiet about the breakup and the rumors.
For now, the discussion is still going on, and there are no clear answers from those involved.
