The 2025 NFL regular season is already in the record books. Just a handful of teams are still in contention, and only one will be the last one standing.

With that in mind, and with the brackets set, ESPN’s computer model shared its pick for the big game.

On Monday afternoon, ESPN’s Football Power Index predicted the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos to meet in the Super Bowl again. This time, they have Mike Macdonald’s team taking the Vince Lombardi trophy home.

Per ESPN, the model “is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily.”

Of course, this isn’t much of a bold take, either. If anything, it shouldn’t be a surprise to watch the two No. 1 seeds as the most likely candidates to go the distance and make it to Super Bowl LX.

That being said, there are more than enough reasons to believe that the Seahawks can get it done. Against all odds, they’ve been the most consistent team in the NFC, and they’ve beaten some great teams this season.

The Seattle Seahawks Are A Legitimate Contender For Super Bowl LX

The Seahawks will have a tough road to the final game of the season. Quarterback Sam Darnold already warned Brock Purdy after their final matchup of the regular season. He knows he will have to get through some excellent teams. Still, we’re talking about a team that won 14 of its 17 regular-season games.

Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak orchestrated a high-flying offense. They rank eighth in passing yards per game (22.81) and third in total points per game (28.4).

On defense, they’ve been even better. They’re giving up the fewest total yards per game (304.8) and have the best scoring defense in all of football (17.2 points allowed per game). They also give up the lowest third-down conversion percentage at just 32.1 percent.

It won’t be easy, and some have reasons to doubt Sam Darnold’s ability to go the distance. But given what they’ve shown so far, they definitely deserve the benefit of the doubt.
