ESPN isn’t sparing resources ahead of Super Bowl 61. The 2027 edition of the big game, which will be hosted at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, will make history.
The network will have the exclusive broadcast rights of the game for the first time ever. They are reportedly preparing to put up a big show for fans that will start way before the big game.
The Super Bowl is one of the biggest sporting events in the world. As such, ESPN wants to give fans the best broadcast they could get.
ESPN To Have Week-Long Presence At Super Bowl 61

Austin Karp of Sports Business Journal reported on Tuesday that Super Bowl 61 week will have ESPN establish a significant presence at Santa Monica Beach and Santa Monica Pier.
As part of Super Bowl Week in February 2027, ESPN will have a week-long presence on Santa Monica Beach and the Santa Monica Pier.

Derek Volner of the Press Room wrote about the network’s plans, too.
“Known as ESPN Beach, the Santa Monica broadcast center will anchor ESPN’s on-site presence throughout Super Bowl LXI week, with most daily studio programming — from morning shows through primetime, day after day throughout Super Bowl week beginning on Monday, February 8 — originating from multiple beachside sets featuring ESPN’s biggest shows and most recognizable personalities,” Volner said.
This is an ambitious plan. It looks great on paper, but after the league failed to make an impact with fans in San Francisco, ESPN might have a lot of work to do to make people happy.
