Longtime Philadelphia Eagles employee Dom DiSandro, AKA “Big Dom”, looks like an imposing giant. And as the club’s head of security, Dom has to look like someone who tolerates zero nonsense.

Big Dom has been employed by the Eagles since 1999, starting as an assistant to the chief security officer. He now holds the roles of senior advisor to the general manager, chief security officer, and the director of gameday coaching operations.

Just last week, Dom DiSandro had to step in and break up an altercation between Eagles and San Francisco 49ers players ahead of their playoff game. And this fittingly came two years after he got into an altercation with then-49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw in a regular-season game.

So, what is Big Dom actually like outside of the workplace? A wholesome video of him has resurfaced, in which he talks about his pride in his Italian American heritage. And it’s beautiful to watch:

Don’t forget about Dom’s classy gesture to help Cam Skattebo after the New York Giants’ rookie suffered a season-ending ankle injury. The man is truly a gentle giant.

The Eagles had one of the more disappointing Super Bowl defense bids in recent memory. They finished 11-6 to win the NFC East, but the club was plagued by offensive struggles and reported locker room drama all season.

Many expect the Eagles to trade All-Pro wideout AJ Brown. The 28-year-old had a frustrating season and constantly popped up in trade rumors. Per ESPN’s Tim McManus, GM Howie Roseman said, “It is hard to find great players in the NFL, and A.J. is a great player.”

We’ll see if the Eagles actually keep Brown, but it’s easier to make a case that both sides should move on.
